THE REAL REASON WE MOVED FROM WHEELHOUSE

Posted by on

Our industry is strong, creative, beautiful… and a tad gossipy. Over the last month we’ve heard lots of rumors on what made us leave Wheelhouse, so we’re ready to break down the truth behind why our team left.

Artists thrive in collaboration and independence. There’s a very fine line between the two. Wheelhouse Salon met that fine line perfectly and we loved working there. Late nights with the Wheelers, talking about the industry, shared creativity, and so much more.

But then we were presented with the perfect opportunity (at the perfect time) to open our advanced academy. One of our team’s goals and dreams came true.

There are certain times in your life when you have to make uncomfortable choices. This was one of those times.

Our team’s dedication is to the craft of elevating the industry through technique-based education. We needed to decide to a) go all in and focus on our academy or b) maintain our clientele in a salon, while trying to build our academy, thus running the risk of being spread too thin.

We chose to put all of our energy into following our passions and dreams. Thus we are launching our academy in November. We’re also opening a shared studio salon to maintain our clients behind the chair.

It’s a beautiful thing when people support and recognize your passions. Following dreams is important. We found this to be true, and this is in no small part because of our time at Wheelhouse Salon and our previous mentors and salon Parks Salon.
